If the smile is so powerful, why don’t we all smile more?  Unfortunately, part of ‘adulting’ is getting serious.  For some strange and inane reason, the social norm is to not smile if you’re serious.  The reality is people who smile more are better liked and tend to be more successful.  While we can’t make people like you, at Aesthetic Dentistry of Georgetown, we can help you to smile more!  Two of the easiest ways to get your smile in shape are whitening and Invisalign.  Whitening can be done in-office in a couple hours or at home over a couple weeks.  Invisalign is typically faster than traditional braces and can be used for almost anything traditional braces can do.

Brighter Whiter Smiles!

We offer three options for whitening for you.  All of them are simple and comfortable and we see very little sensitivity with current materials.  They all have a specific sweet spot, so read through which one may be best for you.

Whitening for Life – is set up for people who have whitening trays already.  When you come in for your regular dental hygiene cleanings, you have the option of a toothbrush head for your Sonicare, a traditional toothbrush, or whitening gel.  This is perfect for maintaining that pretty, white smile.  Many of the people in our dental family take advantage of this and simply alternate between a toothbrush head and whitening gel at their visits.  Be sure to ask how this would work for you at your next visit with the hygienist!

Zoom! Power Whitening – is a light-activated system with specially designed whitening gel.  In less than 2 hours, you can have up to 8 shades of whitening and we will provide a set of custom fitted trays for touchup whitening when you are finished.  This is the most popular whitening option because you can simply lay back and relax, and walk out a couple hours later with a brighter smile!

KöR Whitening – is the most powerful and least sensitive whitening option available today.  For sever stain or discoloration, there is nothing better than the KöR system.  Even for people with tetracycline staining, we have seen amazing results!  This system is preservative-free and includes custom trays designed to work with the KöR gel to keep that material on the teeth for duration of the whitening.  This will take a little longer and will require some application at home, but it is simple to use and consistently delivers amazing results!

Invisalign is a powerfully simple way to get your teeth lined up in a much more aesthetic smile.  It is typically quicker than traditional braces and allows you to take the trays out to brush and floss.  With custom made trays that you wear 23 hours a day, in a matter of a few months, most people can get their smiles looking great!  The hidden benefit to this is when the teeth are straight, they are also healthier.  The alignment of your teeth directly impacts the health of your gums and their resistance to decay!
